November 2005
Hi
First off I would like to tell you a little about myself. I answer to the name of Colin amongst many others (and no I'm not a train spotter). I am now commonly referred to as Justice among the members something we won't go into right now. I started mower racing or at least turning up in support for the NWLMRA a couple of years ago. It all started with my son in law {The Stig}who convinced me that lawn mower racers were not a bunch of pap heads trundling round at five miles an hour (on a good day) a scenario in many peoples minds, but some quite enthusiastic racers both male and female who actually turned up the speed with these modified machines. From the outset I found most members very friendly and helpful, and quite willing to enjoy the social side of life as well as being very serious and safety conscious during racing. Despite that I am on the top side of 21 (we'll leave it at that) a couple of members let me with some trepidation have a go on their pride and joy group 4 mowers. This was after I had tried the Stigs evil group 2 wheels and scared the crap out of myself. After several goes and a few races I decided to build my own group 4 this winter. The progression of which is on the build.
